The Fall

Tumble, groans and vision black
Scrapes on knees and wounded side
The journey to pit-bottom seems endless
Deep inside her mind she screams
"When will this all stop!"

Now hanging from the sharp blood painted rock
Both soles dangle like the chandeliers hung in a windy room
Eyes shut yet stuggling to be opened
Mouth opened and gasps filled and deflated her lungs

Another rip, then another rip
"Ahhh!" She screams and she cried to the night
Red flowed like a stream that would never dry
Drained gasping and almost asleep she said softly,
"Pray for me... pray for me..."

Tension freed her body
As her spirit left rising upwards
And floating towards the unknown

Now came the final tear
Sending the body down
As it hit the rocky surface 
The thunderous sound
Awakened the hyenas
For whom this meal was vindictively prepared...
